On behalf of the Osgoode-Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club, we would like to thank Wayne Swales and Snake Island Automotive for organizing our fishing derby on the opening day for Pike and Walleye. We are partnered with Snake Island Automotive on this fishing derby to rasise money for our Club House fun.d
 
Date : Saturday May 8, 2010 Rain or shine.
Time : 8am to 4pm
Place : Taylor Park [west of Osgoode beside The River Bend Pub]
           Lots of room to launch your boat and park. This is also a great place to fish from shore.
Cost : $20.00 per person [$10 will go to the Club and the other $10 towards cash prizes]
Prizes : Cash prize for the largest walleye and for the largest Pike. Prizes will be handed out at the River Bend Pub.
Registration : We would like for everyone to Preregister but it is not necessary. You can preregister at Snake Island Automotive

KOC/City of Ottawa Public Consultations

On behalf of the Osgoode-Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club, we would like to thank Doug Thompson, Ward Counsellor City of Ottawa; John Boals from OFSC District 1 Head Office; Our Governor Remi Sauvé; all surrounding clubs (snowmobile & ATV); our executive committee; OCSTC members; and the local residents for their commitment to tonight’s consultation.

We firmly believe that with common respect, courtesy and understanding for each other’s differences, we can work harmoniously together to make the KOC a safe and enjoyable trail. 

The OCSTC is committed to working with the City of Ottawa and the residents of the surrounding communities to ensure the KOC (Multiple User Trail) benefits all the diversified users. We would also welcome the forming of a committee from each group to ensure continuity and longevity for years to come.

The executive of the Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club would like the thank Glenn Wright of Glenn Wright Excavating Ltd. for graciously donating one of his high hoe's to perform the repair to the culvert on the Dozios trail.  Thank you Glen, this was one of the last projects required to fully open our trails.

The executive of the Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club would like to thank Darrin Gilligan a professional web developer with RebelNet Communications for volunteering to take our website to the next level.  Darrin performed most of the initial development over his Christmas holidays and continues to help us migrate our articles and information to the new site.  Since Darrin isn't currently a snowmobiler the executive would like to recognize Darrin's contributions by making him an honorary member of the club and welcome him to club activities and meetings. 

Snake Island Automotive has agreed to open on Sundays during the snowmobiling season.  Please support Snake Island Automotive and let them know that we appreciate having a place on trail to fuel up throughout the week and especially on Sundays.

PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) has donated $300 to the Osgoode Carleton Snowmobile Trail Club.  As part of its Volunteer Recognition Program, PwC recognizes their professionals for contributing to the community.  A donation of $300 was made to the club in recognition of our treasurer, Kent Smith an Associate Partner at PwC and leader of PwC's Research & Development Incentives Practice in Ottawa.
